    Which Linux?

I have Ubuntu 12.04, and I like the functionality of it, but it looks too much like a mac to me. I tried Linux Mint, which looked a lot like windows, but just didnt have the functionality of ubuntu. Is there any form of ubuntu that has the same functionality of ubuntu 12.04, yet looks more like windows?

You could try Zorin which is Ubuntu with special setup that can make the desktop look similar to XP or Win 7.

You could also try Lubuntu or Xubuntu which use the LCDE and XFCE desktops. You can get them by installing the packages 'lubuntu-desktop' or 'xubuntu-desktop'. That will add them to your existing system. If you decide on one and want to get rid of the others, then you can follow these instructions:

If you really want Windows-like appearances then you could try Sunwah:

I've heard it's very much like Windows XP, but haven't used Windows XP enough to know for sure. It's usable, but I prefer Lubuntu or Xubuntu.

You mentioned three OS's. Windows, xOS(mac) and Ubuntu(Linux). There is a big difference between them all. I'm not a mac user or a Windows user anymore. I use Ubuntu 12.04 with Unity as a desktop. There is nothing like it, it is new and operates much different that anything else out here.

Now when it come to Linux there are many different distors http://distrowatch.com/ and then within many distros there are many different desktop. For example Xfce, LXDE, Gnome, Unity, KDE, etc. Then you have many different kinds of File managers. In other words there are many different choices you have. You can make Linux anything you want.

All I can say is do your homework and check out what you have available to you. It is simple to download iso files and try different ones. I use Unetbootin and make USB drives to try them.
