Is it possible to dynamically reload PCManFM's configuration file?

I decided to turn my system into a one-key day-or-night machine, where I simply press Super_L to swap everything out between dark and light, and it has mostly been a success. The one barrier, though, is that there doesn't seem to be a way to reload PCManFM's settings without using the provided GUI, and that sort of defeats the purpose. Being able to change the wallpaper and mode is a start, but the two I'm using are polar opposites, so being able to change the desktop text color as well would be nice. I've currently settled for the "happy" medium of gray, but I'd very much appreciate any input as to whether or not this is currently possible.

You cannot script alterations to $HOME/.pcmanfm/pcmanfm.conf to do this? Not sure if this is what you are after....

probably not the answer you're looking for, but you can always kill and restart pcmanfm
