After installing 9.10 then upgrading to 10.04 my dvd drive wont play dvd's. It works with cd's and it will burn a cd, but it does nothing when i put a dvd in. What am i doing wrong here?

what player are you using??? you are most likely missing the codecs needed
to decode dvds....
any easy workaround is to install VLC media player...it will install the
needed codecs to play music & videos, including encrypted dvds....
