Dear Friends, I am facing problem to Configure ZTE EVDO 3g Nitro device in Ubuntu 12.04, 64 bit. previously i was having no issue with same company device ac2726 which was having speed 3.1 MB, new device having speed 9.1 MB,(Rev-B) new device is ZTE AC 2790. I have un-installed previous device completely and configure new device but showing connection failed on every attempt while trying to connect.(I have checked Password, address, etc every thing is correct). this device is working perfectly on windows 7.
Service provider is PTCL (Pakistan Telecommunication ltd) the company has no solution as no drivers are available for Linux. I wounder if some body can help me especially from Pakistan.

Question Re: PTCL EVO 3G nitro device configuration?

Any progress on having a solution to this. I am having the same problem my device is AC2791. Would appreciate if the solution is posted on the forum rather than helping over the phone as this way many other users will be able to get help.

Re: PTCL EVO 3G nitro device configuration?

I was blessed to get this connection worked for once only, i do not know how it worked, but after that whenever i click it to connect from network drop down menu, it appears to say you "off line" I have checked password, user name again & again but all in vein. Modem is working perfectly on Ubuntu 11.10 and windows 7 as well. Only problem with 12.04LTS. it is deducted and i configured User name & Password in VPN connections, it is showing but whenever i hit connect, it says off line. I have installed 12.04 in a new laptop and also its works one time only after that the same problem appeared, i do not know why? due to this connection problem i have to stick with windows which i do not like.
