I booted up my laptop this morning to discover that although I'm connected to the internet wirelessly, the wireless strength indicator in my notification panel is greyed out and if I click on it no APs are displayed (please see picture).
If I run iwconfig, I get confirmation that I am indeed connected without issues to my router:
My wireless card is a Intel PRO/Wireless 2200.Code:iwconfig eth1 eth1 IEEE 802.11bg ESSID:"myAP" Mode:Managed Frequency:2.412 GHz Access Point: (my AP's mac) Bit Rate:54 Mb/s Tx-Power=20 dBm Sensitivity=8/0 Retry limit:7 RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off Power Management:off Link Quality=90/100 Signal level=-39 dBm Noise level=-89 dBm Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0 Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0
Any ideas what might be causing this? I'm connected through WPA2 personal and DHCP is set to Automatic in "Edit Connections".
