    slow open files/windows

    If i open a file it says opening XXXX makes another minimized window in the task bar (im using gnomefallback) how do i keep it from doing this?

    Does the "Opening XXXX" window stay there, or does it disappear when the program opens?

    ya the window goes away in a few seconds 10-15 but if i open too many programs up at one time i get flooded with windows.

    I think it is just part of the normal operating procedure.
    I guess how long it takes for those windows to disappear depends on how fast your computer is.
