If I were to install Linux Mint will it erase all my files?

I am currently running Ubuntu 12.04 and was curious if i were to install Linux Mint would it erase my files?

you can install it to erase everything or install it alongside ubuntu, I did that, no problem
(but I like ubuntu better)

You can do many things you want.

You can also just install the shell used by Linux mint (Linux mint is built upon on ubuntu and just changes the interface and some default packages.).

You could try cinnamon yourself and install Mint only if you liked it: http://www.linuxbsdos.com/2012/04/26...-ubuntu-12-04/
