    No sound

    Hi all,

    Sorry another problem.

I've installed Ubuntu 12.04 on my Toshiba Satellite P200 laptop, and the sound won't work at all. I've been through all the trouble shooting process but still no sound.

I installed additional drivers package and still no sound

Can you please help me, the hardware is a ATI/AMD Propietary FGLRX graphics driver.

    Kind regards
    Kay

    Re: No sound

    Hey Kay!
I had very similar problem. Except I had sound but no mic and so. The solution for mine is install 'Alsa Mixer' from Ubuntu's 'Software Center'.
If you run it you can see some extra volume control thingy in it. You may need to unmute or just adjust the volume on some.
I hope this can help if your problem still exists.

Yes, I agree with Gazza and have had similar problems in the past like this. Sometimes installing Alsa will correct the problem.
