    location of terminal?

    can someone tell me where i find the TERMINAL in ubuntu 12.04?

    press ALT + CTRL + T .

    or

    press the Super key and start typing terminal. It will show up in the list .

    yes, go to top page on left & click on the very top icon then write terminal in search box. simplest is alt+ ctrl + t and terminal window will open.

    Go to the Thread Tools and mark this thread as solved.
    After you use it for awhile, your instinct when something isn't working is to press CTRL + ALT + T to start diagnosing.
    Backups are amazing. 99% of data loss can be prevented by spending less than $100 on an external drive.
    If you have seen an error, there is a good chance someone else has, too. Google is your friend.

    Another option is ALT + F2, which is exceedingly useful when you're making changes to the GUI itself. For example, installing graphics drivers.

    The only problem being that, if your computer is frozen and you use ALT + F2, it redirects you away from the GUI to the CLI.
