When I installed Ubuntu 12.04, I installed the 32-bit version. So I am pretty sure that I have a 32-bit system (i686). However is there a command that I can run from the terminal to confirm this? One note. I am a real newby.
I did try the drivers that you attached in post 46 (WinXP.zip). Next I extracted the drivers to the desktop. I then went into the ndisgtk application (the description on the icon is "Windows Wireless Drivers") and I pointed it to Desktop/WinXP/netrtwlanu.inf. At that point I received the following error message:
"netrtwlanu Invalid Driver!"
I guess my next step is to confirm that I have a 32-bit system. If I do have a 32-bit system then what would be my next step?
