    Can't restart ubuntu 12.04

    hello guys

    i can't restart ubuntu 12.04 - 64 bit , when i click shutdown then restart it takes a long time and nothing happen ! before 5 days this problem doesn't exist

    I've run into this with 12.10 upon occasion after resuming from suspend. I wonder if it's a combination of video and power management issue. What works for me is exiting the X session by pressing ctrl+alt+f1 to get a terminal then ctrl+alt+delete. Press the power button during the ensuing POST if you want to shut down.
