Question How do I add volume control to my Xfce panel?

    Hi guys,

I have a new Xubuntu installation and I noticed there's a lack of a volume control icon in my panel. I tried adding it using the add icon interface, however I see nothing related to volume control there.

I think it may be an extra package I need to install but I can't find which, does anyone know which?

    Thanks!

I added the "Indicator Applet Complete"to my panel. The volume control was in there..

The indicator applet exposes Ayatana Indicators in the Gnome Panel. Ayatana Indicators are an initiative by Canonical to provide crisp and clean system and application status indication. They take the form of an icon and associated menu, displayed (usually) in the desktop panel. Existing indicators include the Message Menu, Battery Menu and Sound menu.
