Hi everyone, I hope this is the right forum. I wasn't sure whether this should go in Absolute Beginner or here.

I have an aging behemoth workstation running Windows 7 that I would like to retire, and I also have a several year old laptop that is much smaller and quieter. I have an iPad I use for email and browsing the web. The only things I do on my workstation are:

1. Viewing a few non-iOS friendly websites
2. Running a few music processing apps which have Linux versions
3. Playing music from my music library
4. Putting music, movies, and documents on my (non-jailbroken) iPad and iPhone

Really, #4 is the only thing I can't figure out which is making me hold on to my old workstation. I have installed Lubuntu 12.04 desktop, Wine 1.4, and iTunes 10.5. iTunes seems to work OK, but the UI is so messed up it is unusable. Has anyone figured out how to manage their iPad and iPhone on a Ubuntu/Lubuntu system?

Thanks!
