    Xmonad

I set up Xmonad on Mint 13 and am trying to start gnome-settings-daemon on start-up. I have tried to include it in ~/.xinitrc but am not getting any results. Somebody help me please.

I was looking for a way to change the gtk theme on xmonad but i realized invoking gnome-settings-daemon does everything (the gtk theme, icon theme, fonts and everything is like I have configured it in Cinnamon session). So I figured if I could have the daemon on start-up(xmonad session) my problem could be solved. Is there another way to achieve this?
