Zotac ion system extremely slow on high resolution

    HI, and thanks in advance.

I recently bought a Zotac ion itx mobo. It has a dual core 1.8GH processor and a GT218 nVidia graphix card. I have installed ubuntu 12.04 64bit.

My problem is the system is slow especially at higher resolution (1080p). At the same time, flash plays very slow within firefox but better at full screen (only in low 800x600 res.).

I am not familiar with advance ubuntu stuff. Any help will be extremely appreciated.

    With best regards,

I Love ion based systems, but AFAIK they won't help with flash playback.
"Regular" video should be fine, just be sure to turn on the hardware gpu.

    Hi MrMstr.

There's a way to set up flash to use the Nvidia's vdpau acceleration library. However note that it makes the flash plugin to be a little more unstable (specially for jumping forward and backwards).

    Here's how to do it.

    Regards.
