Andoid cell phone with read only permissions

    Hi!

I'm running Ubuntu 12.0.4 TLS since last week and I'm trying to get my Motorola Spice Key with Android gingerbred connected via USB so I can exchange music between the cell phone and my computer.
Whenever I try to do so, I get an error that says the device has read only permissions.
I had a similar problem with my kindle, because I might have unsafely ejected it once, but I could solve it just by restarting the knidle.
I really don't know how to proceed in this case.

Any help could be very usefull.
    Thanks.

pull down the curtain like notification board from the top of your phone's screen while it is connected to pc. click on notification showing 'USB connected'. there you will find some options to connect in storage mode.

Thanks... I've done as yu said. When I plug my phone a message appears asking If I want to turno on Storage Mode. Usually I set it into storage mode so my care stereo recongnices my phone as an external device.
Should I do something different when plug in it to my ubuntu laptop?
