Need help for updating Ubuntu from 11.04 to latest

Dear friends,

I have installed Ubuntu 11.04 on my office PC, I have installed all applications required for my business..

I want to update OS without lose of all installed apps..

Is there is any way todo.. plz help me

Most important... Backup your files.

After that. Personally, I'd do a clean install. If you upgrade be prepared that it may not go smoothly. And you need to move up one release at a time IMO

you have to check few more things . Run a Ubuntu 12.04 LIVE CD on your PC and check about Hardware working is in good way or not . Hardware means Sound,Video,Wireless etc .

if you feel all is well then you can happily move for New version .
