    Seems like I need a new tower for Ubuntu when this gets ready, old card wont run games smooth enought on a Linux :/

    as soon as the STEAM and L4D2 comes to Ubuntu I will posting benchmarks and guides about what hardware is needed in my blog. According to their appereance in SIGGRAPH 12, I think that their games could be more CPU intensive rather than GPU hungry -- in this way you might be able to play Valve's games using HD3000 embedded graphics.

    But for the time being, we just wait for the first release.

    But aren't Intel graphics notoriously shoddy under Linux?

    They used to be, years ago. Now the situation is the exact opposite; if you want a good graphics experience out-of-the box, Intel is your best bet.

    Indeed my built in is HD4000 (Ivybridge) and they do quite well.

    Cant wait for this, I love Ubuntu and it will be awesome to see more games coming to Linux
