I followed instructions for installing Acrobat and got this:

Do you want to install the browser plugin ? [y/n] y

    trap: 634: SIGINT: bad trap
Please login again for changes to MIME types and icons to take effect.

    Suggestion?

First let me thank you for the great job on the script and How-to. However, I'm having some issues getting Flash to work on edgy 64-bit. I installed firefox32 without any problems. It is working great, so is the java plugin.

But Flash will always crash the browser. It doesn't matter which version I use, 7 or the beta 9. I removed any trace of firefox from the system and completely reinstalled it. I made sure there were no double libflash.so files anywhere.

If I run firefox32 in a console and go to any website containing flash I just get the following error:
    Code:
Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library.
            Using the fallback 'C' locale.
The program 'firefox-bin' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'.
      (Details: serial 86 error_code 8 request_code 146 minor_code 3)
      (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
I really have no idea what could be wrong . I must say I haven't been able to get the stand-alone Flash 9 player to run either. It does not crash, but simply shows nothing .

Internet without Flash is kinda difficult in this day and age. Anyone have any ideas?
It is probably the x11 composite module.

Insert this into your firefox script /usr/bin/firefox:

    Code:
    export XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1
Or disable the composite module by deleting

    Code:
    Section "Extensions"
        Option "Composite" "Enable"
    EndSection
    in /etc/X11/xorg.conf

    Solutions were found here.

I finally got this FAQ to work after reformatting my laptop and installing Edgy final on it. I only have one problem: I cannot print in the 32-bit browser. Is there any solution to this, or am I just stuck?

Does it give you an error message or something because I don't see how that effects the printing command...?

There's no error message, but the printer doesn't come up in the print dialog. The only thing present there is "PostScript/default". When I open my 64-bit Firefox, it lets me print without issue.

I figure that I'm just missing a library or something, but I don't know where to start. Can anyone here print from the 32-bit firefox?

Well in the properties beside the default I beleive you just enter a standard lp unix command. I am new to this too but to print in unix I think its the lp command and I noticed that was in there. With in the command you reference a printer, so perhaps you just include yours in that command, who knows though.. certainly not me...

If you notice 64 bit has the same thing, so you just need to put your printer device within the lp command.

Install went well however firefox32 is unable to detect DNS settings within resolv.conf loaded back to firefox64 and works fine no trouble at all. Went back to firefox32 and put in IP rather then name and site game up.

Anyone have any thoughts on how I could fix this?.

    Thank you
