Howto Install 32 bit Firefox with Flash w/sound and Java for AMD64

I need to get some help with the whole. First of all, the problem is with the flash plugin, at first it was working but then it stopped for no apparent reasons, or maybe it was after i installed java.

Anyway, i got my firefox32 bits working, also got java working but i cant seem to get flash working running the script and doing the manual how to.

I'd like to know if there's a way for me to see what is actually the problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

To get around IPv6 issues in Feisty, rather than disabling IPv6 by blacklisting the module, you can actually use the firefox "network.dns.disableIPv6" option (accessible through about:config). It is set to false by default. Set it to true and everything starts working.

Yes you could, but if you want to run other 32bit applications like maybe Frostwire its better to just disable it altogether.

What version of Ubuntu are you running? What version number of the script did you install? Second, are you trying to do the manual howto after running the script? Third, do you have the 64bit browser open at the same time?

Im running ubuntu edgy eft, second, I ran the script that was posted on the second page, i think, the script that was for edgy eft users, the one that asked if you wanted to install the plugin for edgy eft or for another ubuntu relase.

Third, i did try to do the howto after running the script, I tried the last two things that you said to try if it wasnt working.

Finally, I dont think im running firefox 64 at the same time, neither during the script run or while im browsing with the 32 bits.

Please open a terminal and type or copy/paste in

First off, thanks for the great howto! Most every thing is working I just need to figure out how to get around the following:

Please be aware there is a bug with using flash and youtube, if you adjust the sound there it can go out. Go to another site and adjust it up to fix it.

This bug is biting me in conjunction with another problem I'm having with the flash plugin...

I can't seem to save settings like flash local storage (I can't use http://www.pandora.com NOOO!)

When I go to YouTube the player is set to 0 volume... So, if I attempt to change the volume on a YouTube video, the sound goes out but when I go to another site reset the sound and return the voulme settings don't stick.

So if I could save flash settings I could use the YouTube work around.

It seems like a perms problem but I'm not sure what to set.

When you type

about:plugins

into the firefox adress bar and hit enter , is there a Shockwave Flash section in the config page?
