Howto Install 32 bit Firefox with Flash w/sound and Java for AMD64

I don't think I can live without pandora or youtube so let's hope it will be fixed!

I think it has something to do with ipv6.

Its ipv6, after disabling it everything works like a champ.So the script will work in Feisty.

sudo rm -dr /usr/local/Adobe

should do it.

Have you used mplayer as it is installed by your script? I got the ipv6 thing taken care of, and everything else seems to be working great, its just the mplayer plugin. The plugin is there, it just won't play the videos.

i must congratulate u on u super effort

firefox32 works, flash works, but java has a problem. whenevr i try to play pool at yahoo games, the brower crashes

any tips?

Have you used mplayer as it is installed by your script? I got the ipv6 thing taken care of, and everything else seems to be working great, its just the mplayer plugin. The plugin is there, it just won't play the videos.

What version of Ubuntu are you using? What browser did you install? What version of the script did you install?

hi kliz i'm using edgy64
got java and flash to work, i had to it the manual way
i think it was the permissions whic didnt make java work the first time
i havent tried the mplayer plugin yet
u have done a great job thanks a lot

That may be something that needs to be worked on for Feisty.

I got it to work by reinstalling all of the mplayer related packages (probably only one was necessary). I think your script broke a link somewhere or something, whatever it was it was fairly trivial to fix.
