Even the program icon are missing for the 32 bit I tried running the 32 bit install once again but still the problem has not been fixed. Can you tell me how to fix the same. Thanks in advance.
Are you using a icon theme other than the default one in Ubuntu?

I am using the default theme. Immediately after the 32 bit install I noticed the same. Now the icons on the 64 bit seems to work. But now when I accidently loaded the 64 bit and loaded this forum page it did not display properly. I closed that and the page loads fine on 32bit but the navigation controls are missing. Should I reinstall the browser. How do I first remove it and then reinstall with the deb file?

    Hello,

I have downloaded the script and installed it.
It runs out of the box except the old version of firefox is also still available in my awn manager.
I have tuned up my desktop with mac4lin and the new one is not the same and has no buttons like (go back on page, forward) and stuff like in the old version.
Can you tell me how to and get this thing running like the old one.
I also would like to put the start up icon on my panel in awnmanager but that is not working either

I just installed Ubuntu 64 and there are no icons with the 32-bit browser. I tried another theme and it worked.

Here's the solution to the icon problem as posted by darthcloud. It worked for me:

    I edited the file /usr/local/bin/firefox32-3

    I changed the line:

    Code:
    linux32 /usr/local/firefox32-3/firefox $@
    to:

    Code:
    /usr/local/firefox32-3/firefox $@
Now everything work fine with all icon, I don't know why but it work...

I have instaled the firefox32 (firefox32-3). Whenever I execute this, it tries to load the shared library svg_loader.so.
I do not know why but it try to load the 64 bits shared library (/usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/loaders/svg_loader.so) instead the 32bits (/usr/lib32/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/loaders/svg_loader.so) causing a lot of wrong ELF class errors.

I have checked the content of /usr/local/bin/firefox32-3 and the line seems correct:
    export GTK_PATH=/usr/lib32/gtk-2.0

Here are the lines when executing firefox32-3:

    :/usr/lib32/gtk-2.0$ firefox32-3
    esd: nenhum processo morreu

(firefox-bin:21798): Gtk-WARNING **: Error loading theme icon 'gtk-

I am using the newest firefox32 package:
    :/usr/lib32/firefox32/plugins$ apt-cache policy firefox32
    firefox32:
    Instalado: 3.0.1
    Candidato: 3.0.1

Can you tell me in exact steps how you installed the 32bit firefox 3?

Why is there no thanks button on post number 1?

This has been the best post I have ever followed - effortless and successful!

    Kilz - Thanks a million!

Its because this howto predates the thanks icon system. Its existed since Dapper Drake. If you want to just click on any thank you icon on one of my posts.
