Re: Howto Install 32 bit Firefox with Flash w/sound and Java for AMD64

    About the streaming audio:

You were right. There only some problem with some stations but this seems to be program specific (of the website's server).

    About Acrobat Reader:

I'll try the manual ans get back to you.

Flash player doesn't worth either. Tried to see bwin live soccer matches and realized that there was no plugin.

    Thanks

I've followed the manual how-to and restarted Firefox32.

Adobe Reader worked like a charm!

    Flash player too!

They only weird is that now when I open a station from the site www.e-radio.gr I here the audio but when the window looses focus the sound stops and when it gets focus back it plays!

Click help then about Firefox, near the bottom of the little window that opens is some info that starts with "Mozilla/5.0" copy that section and paste it into a post please.
Also please tell me exactly what steps you have done to see if flash was installed.

Re: Howto Install 32 bit Firefox with Flash w/sound and Java for AMD64

Hi - just found this thread and did the install. I chose Swiftweasel and the install went without a hitch.

I tried running the swiftweasel32 link on my desktop and I got the "browser already running, please close it and try again" or some such. But I recognized this right away: I use multiple profiles with FF (in this case FF64) so that I can simultaneously read multiple gmail accounts... Once profiles are evoked, any instance of firefox needs to be evoked with a known profile. I assume that the fresh install of 32 bit FF was unable to "see" the default profile. Initially, I thought this was because I had FF64 running with the default profile... I closed all 3 profiles of FF64 and retried the new swiftweasel ff32 install and got the same problem.

So I opened a terminal and ran firefox -profilemanager and added a profile to the same firefox directory as the default and other profiles called swiftweasel.

Then I right-clicked to edit the .desktop launcher to start up with the command:
    swiftweasel32 -P swiftweasel -no-remote

I'm on Fiesty kubuntu with latest updates ...

Everything appeared to be going well right up until I tried to install mplayer.
