What I want to achieve is to have a transparent terminal that blurs what is behind it.
Gaussian blur does not work, the program crashes, and when I reboot, I can't see the terminal window nor the compiz window properly.

I run 12.04 on virtual box with win7 host. The video ram is 128 mb, so I expect gaussian blur not to work properly.

Focus filter with 4xbilinear or mipmap seems to work. But I cannot get the terminal window to blur. I do not want focus filter, but alpha blur on terminal.

I am not sure whether I type in the correct thing to the alpha blur windows box. I've tried terminal, title=terminal.

Anyways, I'd appreciate if you can help.
