Howto: Replace Bing with Google in Thunderbird

Thunderbird 13.0.1 uses Bing as its default search engine for internet searching. To replace Bing with Google (a much better search engine):

    1. Open Thunderbird and select "Add-ons" from the "tools" menu
    2. In the "search all add-ons" box at the top right, type "google"
    3. Find the add-on called "Google Search for Thunderbird" and click the "install" button to the right of that entry

Previously I was adding manually, thought I'd searched for an add-on...
In any event this is easier & works well.
    Thanks for posting.
