12.04 - Intel's 4965 wireless high packet loss

Hi, in 12.04 swcrypto=1 is software and swcrypto=0 is hardware which is default according to modinfo.

True, but no matter what I sett it to, the following line from modinfo remains unchanged:

parm: swcrypto:using crypto in software (default 0 [hardware]) (int)

I've found no txpower related errors in the logs, but install the backports wireless modules anyway. No change.

Hi, the line in modinfo will not change, you add the lines in:

gksudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/iwl4965.conf

Yes, of cause. That's exactly what I did. The file looks like this now:

options iwl4965 swcrypto=1 11n_disable=1
