I need to log in as root to install a Nividia gforce2 driver. I have the file from Nvidia but it must be run as root.
I have 12.04 installed at the moment but I can't set a login screen like was able to do with 10.4
I have reset the passwd.

You don't need to login as root.
You can do that with sudo.
