trying to make usb bootable

When using the Universal - USB-Installer - 1.9.0.2 and trying to install it on the usb drive it comes up with a window indicating that about 30 files are "broken" please help down loaded Ubuntu 12.04 about four times now and same problem

Did you check the ISO md5sum?

Check the sum as suggested and try unetbootin.
