How to enable mouse middle click paste ?

I was using the feature of selection of a text item in terminal and middle click will paste it. Now with 11.10 i am missing this feature. How do i re enable this feature? I searched through google and the results are for disabling this feature. I love this feature and want it back.

As far as I was aware this was a native function of your X server.

See if /etc/X11/xorg.conf has something weird in it.

Did anyone find out why this feature is now disabled or how to re-enable it? I have the same problem on my kubuntu installation. It seem to work for a while and then it simply stops working at some point.
