    Hmmmm....

    The first command was enough I guess.

    What that tells me is that it is using OpenGL and that Unity 3D is supported. I don't see anything there that tells me the driver is keeping you from using 3D.

    Could you open Catalyst Control Center, click on the 3D tab and take a screenshot?

    Paste that back by clicking the paper clip in the toolbar and uploading the image. That will give a thumbnail in your post I can open and see what Catalyst says.

    Sorry about the late response...
    Perhaps I should elaborate on my problem. The thing is Unity will load the launcher with the icons, but it has absolutely no response with my mouse. The bar at the top of the screen loads, but there's no text on it, and no icons on the right displaying wi-fi, thunderbird and such. Nothing can open, even desktop shortcuts for Terminal.
