    Power off USB on suspend

Not sure if this is a hardware setting or an OS setting... is there a way to have the USB port powered off when the laptop (lemu4) is in suspend mode? I have an external fan connected to USB, and it would be nice to have it off when the laptop is in suspend mode.

Thanks in advance if you have the answer!

I'm having the same issue. I had Kubuntu 11.04 and I installed Kubuntu 12.04 yesterday. Kubuntu 11.04 worked fine.

I installed Kubuntu 12.04 on another laptop, and the USB does power off on suspsend.

Dell XPS m1330 has the issue. Dell Latitude E6510 does not have the issue.

No, the USB ports on our system will always be powered when the system is in Suspend. If you need to remove power to a USB device, I recommend either shutting the system down or unplugging it.
