Dreaming is free: the System76 laptop of your dreams

We all love our System76 laptops (I do for one). Really happy with it so far (gazp6). But hey, dreaming is free and I always find myself thinking of one or two things I would change if I were to buy another System76 laptop. I need a lighter/smaller one for travelling and the Lemur ultra seems perfect for that. Here is my dream:

    Lemur ultra series wishlist:

    - High resolution 14.1'' screen (1440x900+)
    - Chiclet keyboard.
    - More compact carcass, but that is my personal preference.

These 3 items and the Lemur would be 'a dream come true'

How about you people? What would you add/take from Sys76 laptops?

I'm on completely the opposite end of the spectrum...battery life and weight are completely irrelevant, but I want ridiculous power in a laptop case. I'm waiting for the Bonobo:

    - 17" HD screen
    - Space for multiple internal hard drives
    - High-end discrete graphics card
    - Firewire port

I'll be ordering this beast the minute it goes live on the S76 website

It's pretty hard to make a case that fits a 14.1 inch screen that's a lot smaller than the one we already use on the Lemur. Thinner, maybe, but not generally smaller.

My list would be almost exactly the same! Actually, those first two (mostly the screen) are what have me currently undecided between the Lemur Ultra and the Gazelle Pro. Instead of more compact, I'd prioritize longer battery life (going off of the 3 - 4 hour estimates people have given - closer to 6 hours would be great) and a lighter weight (4 lbs or slightly under would be amazing).

    pretty similar to 'ilcontegis'
    16xx/9xx resolution, 13-14" screen.
Body made of carbon fiber body and around 10 hour real time backup with a 9cell battery...

How about a System76 tablet? As long as I'm dreaming, a tablet with a keyboard would be really nice...

I'll definitely buy one if S76 offers it... even if it's $1,000.

What I think everyone is saying here is:
    "Where is your ultrabook System76?"
We want something, light, cool, solid, with battery life and good resolution......
Cmon....I am waiting for that so long!
If the XPS 13 with Ivy Bridge will come out before your ultrabook, I get DELL. It's sad, but that's what I need.
Ugly old style laptops are not for me...then I prefer to have a desktop pc.

    Well, yes and no.

I am not looking for an 'Ultrabook' per se.
I would be very happy with a 14.1'' screen (but higher resolution than the currently offered). Agree on the solid and compact build...don't think the Lemur ultra benefits from a CD-reader drive AT ALL. 4H of battery is OK, could be better, yes, but the linux kernel has some limitations in that sense nowadays.

Something ligther than a Gazelle but more powerful than an ultrabook...the Lemur is right there, but for some specs that do not cut it for me. A higher definition screen would definitely be a huge + and make this really good laptop into something outstanding.
