    Setting up password-protected login

Basically, from how I understand my problem, you can enable 'logging in without a password' or disable it by 'setting a password', except setting a new password does not trigger the password prompt upon login.

In the User Accounts setting, under Login Options, I have a password clearly set up and Autologin disabled as seen:

    Thank you for any help.

Ubuntu 12.04 (after some updates so far).

Oh, I see. I think I saw the nopasswdlogin group somewhere. Probably in the /etc/group file.

I should've thought of this. Thank you.
