Your solution worked out great on my machine. My eth0 driver was not to be found in ifconfig -a. Your patch made is appear!

Hi!

I've just installed Ubuntu 15.04 and cannot connect to the internet via Ethernet, I've tried several tutorials detailed in some of these threads but I get errors. I don't know what to do. I'm kind of new to Linux, so please I beg for your patience and collaboration.
The moment I get errors is after executing the first 'make' command. What can I do?

This old and very long thread contains information that was probably very valid when written but is quite stale for today's newer kernels. I suggest you start a new thread and include:

nm-tool
