    Are my temperatures in order?

Hey all, I was just wondering if my temperatures are all ok.

The following picture is whilst ingame (GTA IV) on high graphics/texture quality etc..

    My hardware is:

    Radeon HD 4890 1GB GDDR5
    Phenom II X4 3.2GHz
    6GB DDR2-800 RAM
    A few hard drives.

Quick Google states that 62DegC for the CPU is the AMD recommended max, and that it should start to throttle itself at anything more than 65degC.

Lower is off course better for the life of hardware but in this case you are still in the tolerance range.

EDIT: For all my hardware worries I tend to go to www.overclock.net... the users there tend to know their stuff

    thanks

and in this case, what is the difference between CPU, Core and Temp1?

Suspect that could be a sensor on the motherboard, it would depend from manufacturer to manufacturer...

They are fine for a system under 50% workload overtime. Dont let them hit 60s though. Starts cutting the life span of the hardware. CPU will in most cases throttle its self down, but still not good for it.

Is this system in a cool area? or a warm room? I keep my room my pc is in at home between 20 to 24 degrees Celsius. With my air cooling keep it between 35c-45c. Sadly though thats been going up, also noticed a slight lag in performance. Think my CPU is about to retire.

The cpu on my old laptop used to get up to 80C when doing video transcoding. I had it for three years and hadn't been killed up to that point. At one point it was hitting 90C but I found that was caused by too much dust. Fixed by vacuuming it out.
