Hi,

how do I let my computer activate numlock before I have to enter my password for logging in on ubuntu 12.4 LTS? My password contains numbers and it's very annoying that I always first have to press numlock everytime before entering my password.

I'm not sure with your computer, but often you can set the default numlock state (on/off) in the BIOS menu (that you can reach by pressing some key very early at boot, before you come to the grub menu).
