I just followed the OP's instructions for setting up my hotmail through evolution, and evolution took all my inbox messages and left my hotmail server inbox empty.
I know he said add '-r' at the end of the pop3 script if you want this to be done, so I excluded the '-r'. Why did this happen?
Is there any way I can reassociate evolution and hotmail server so I can have my inbox with my old messages online?
super thanx dude !!!
I have Ubuntu 7.04 but seem to have a problem entering necessary information to access email account. When ask to enter server I use comcast.net but my email is yahoo.com, how can I make it work? I know
I'm asking a silly question to those who's understand of computers way beyond my level.

Worked flawlessly. Thanks for the great tut!
I get an error saying "you have to PAY to have WebDAV access"
i have my hotmail account for at least 8 years but i still got the message that i have to pay for the WebDAV access.. is there any way to change this situation? or i just have to wait for more 6 years and try it again?
btw, the tut was perfect, only this anoying problem bugs me..
No there's no way to change it. And I don't think waiting any length of times will mean Microsoft making access free again. If you upgraded to the Windows Live Mail thing rather than sticking with traditional hotmail, then that would explain why you're required to pay now. I use GMail now, since they have a free pop server.
Worked first time! one of the biggest things I missed about windows is now in ubuntu! awsome.
Worked like a charm. Thank you!
