HOWTO: Send and Receive Hotmail through Evolution

Hey - firstly I'd like to say big thanks for finding a way past the hotmail problem.

Secondly I'd get to my problem.

When entering the "code" to terminal

sudo apt-get install hotway hotsmtp

I get this error message

prawler@prawler-desktop:~$ sudo apt-get install hotway hotsmtp
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree       
Reading state information... Done
E: Couldn't find package hotway

Anything I'm doing wrong?

Why do you use hotway hotsmtp?

Now you can access your account without these files

It may very well be obsolete at this time but I don't know if it was when this thread was created. As for me, I have always been able to use the settings that are supplied in the URL that you posted (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Us...lWithEvolution) with success....

I got only as far as the third step, installing hotway.

here is the result of Step 3:

STEP 3 - "This will install hotway...":
root@greendodge50-laptop:/home/greendodge50# sudo apt-get install hotway hotsmtpd
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Couldn't find package hotway

STEP 4: Get this when i entered sudi gedit /etc/inetd.conf :
#<off># sane-port stream tcp nowait saned:saned /usr/sbin/saned saned

Any idea where I'm going wrong? I'm pretty new to all this. Thanks for taking time to read this.

Or just use Gmail...

The method posted here works for me, I have had my account since 99-00 though.
