Does the instructions on the first page still valid?

The writing is not only too old but I have also noticed some alterations to that instructions through out the other pages.

Im a bit confused for which one to follow.

am I missing something here? install freepops from the site, update the lua files (with the updater supplied) enter server as localhost;2000 (for evolution) or localhost port 2000 with other clients, and all the other normal stuff, and you can get your hotmail - as well as just about any other web-based email you want. simple.

This is the easiest, most expedient way to accomplish what you are trying to do. Good Luck!

Heh... okay. Y'reckon it'd be possible to get Hotmail notification in Conky a-la Gmail? Not too well versed in these things, but i'm loving Conky's versatility.

(edit) Yeah, I know I could forward the Hotmail to Gmail, but it just seems a bit messy - i'd like to have a seperate Hotmail notifier...

You do not have to forward anything anywhere. Go here:

and download the program and its updater, They are self installing: make sure your email accts are set up 1st or you will get error messages. See my prior posts in this thread. Good Luck!
