Launch a terminal?

Hi,

I have a stupid question to ask.....I just installed Ubuntu 12.04 on my new PC and have the default desktop...So,

How do I get to a command prompt or a terminal window? I don't see any menu items that I can use to launch a new terminal? Am confused...

Also, I am hoping that I can customize my desktop and there's some tool for that...right?

Any pointers are highly appreciated. Thanks much in advance,

Try Ctrl+Alt+T

Or hit the super (Windows) key and start typing terminal.

Never mind.... I found out.... will have to get used to being stupid on these new desktops....lol
