    12.04 Precise Screen panning

hi all, i've got an asus eee pc 901 and just upgraded ubuntu to version 12.04 Precise, sometimes dialogs don't fit in screen, with previous versions of ubuntu i solved it with this instruction:

    xrandr --output LVDS1 --panning 1280x960

so i could move down and right the screen with the mouse, but now the screen gets bigger but mouse moving is not working.

This is frustrating, for example i just can't install any updates in eclipse (i just can't see any update) or press ok in many dialogs.

    any idea?

Press the alt key and move the window, from anywhere on the window.

hi tx, that's a workaround. Now let's see if i can find how to extend the screen virtually.
