Hello,
I just moved from a Gentoo MythTV box to Mythbuntu 12.04.
But for some reason the IR of the Hauppauge PVR-150 is not working.
In Gentoo I didn't use Lirc as it's part of the new kernel now days. But I used the ir-keytable instead. But I get the feeling Mythbuntu is still using lirc, right? Even if the kernel is:
Linux mythbuntu 3.2.0-24-generic #39-Ubuntu SMP Mon May 21 16:52:17 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
When I try to start lirc I get:
* Loading LIRC modules [ OK ]
* Unable to load LIRC kernel modules. Verify your
* selected kernel modules in /etc/lirc/hardware.conf
The hardware.conf shows for the remote control part:
#Chosen Remote Control
REMOTE="Hauppauge TV card"
REMOTE_MODULES="lirc_dev lirc_i2c"
REMOTE_DRIVER=""
REMOTE_DEVICE="/dev/lirc0"
REMOTE_SOCKET=""
REMOTE_LIRCD_CONF="hauppauge/lircd.conf.hauppauge"
REMOTE_LIRCD_ARGS=""
If I check dmesg for lirc I see:
[ 66.207307] lirc_dev: IR Remote Control driver registered, major 250
So what do I need to do to get my Hauppauge PVR-150 IR remote working under Mythbuntu 12.04?
