So I installed Ryzom today, I have had it working on Ubuntu 11.10 and now it does not work. It makes it all the way until I try to enter the world then it just shuts off. Any ideas?

Start the game via the terminal and post the output, thanks.

Thank you for the response, I am embarrassed to ask but how would I start by terminal?
Were you able to get this working? To answer your earlier question, the Terminal should have an icon on the Unity Launcher. Otherwise, assuming you're using Ubuntu 12.04, use the Dash and type Terminal.
As for me, ever since upgrading to Precise, Ryzom has stopped working. It runs much slower than before and freezes during the load process.
Start ryzom.sh from the terminal, you can't close the terminal window. Because, if you do so, ryzom will exit too.
