    How would I go about doing these commands in Ubuntu?

    Hi there, recently read this article for speeding up Fedora 17's boot time. I'm interested in this part of the guide:

    libahci.ignore_sss=1 raid=noautodetect
    Does Ubuntu use these same to parameters in grub2? I'm a bit scared to try it out myself since I don't want to break anything, if something goes wrong.

    If you do not want to break anything, then it is best not to do it. However, if you really do want to do it, then back up your system with Clonezilla.
