Apologies in advance, but you really do need to read this all to understand what happened
Evening before last I checked my email and noticed a question posted to a thread of mine:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php...0&postcount=42
Before continuing please understand that I believe that's the third time someone has posted about not understanding how to log out and choose another desktop session so I added a link to one of Aysiu's great how-to's:
http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/classicgnome
Hopefully that takes care of that problem
But now to the problem I created; I immediately noticed this reply:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php...1&postcount=43
And particularly after clicking on the internal link my hair caught on fire!
I could see that command was going to remove things that I truly don't think should be removed, but rather than just saying that I said this:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php...9&postcount=44
The problematic part is, "I think that's a truly bone-headed idea". I should NOT have used the term bone-headed
I'm admittedly less than eloquent sometimes but still, after being pressed on the issue, I did boot into a Precise classic (no effects) session and check things out:

As you can see the recommended command resulted in a number of errors. But I admit fault - I should not have used the term "bone-headed".
While my intent was only to prevent mystmaiden from doing something I believe was a very bad idea my poor use of words created a problem
Things only devolved from there:

So I was trying to think of a decent resolution. My first thought was to PM traditionalist but I think I've done enough damage.
What I was going to propose is that I change "bone-headed" to "simply a very bad idea", also pointing out the errors in the command posted in the link he posted, and then asking that he remove his further posts.
What do you think?
Please don't block or otherwise punish traditionalist. The truly bad behavior is on me this time .......... words do matter and I'll try to be more appropriate in the future.
Apologies again, and thank you just for being here.
