    Problems in all Ubuntu releases

    Hello Guys,I just would like to pint point to same tings those are overlooked in all ubuntu releases. I still have a problems with the last 12.04 ubuntu.
    Im talking about every day used and to be more precise sould be named such activitys as lisining internet radio or cheking internet speed on line or virus scan on line ( scaning windows OS using ubuntu OS) or net banking. I dont undestand what is wrong but I having problems with whose home pages you can ckekit out you self:

    1. http://www.dr.dk/radio no sound.
    2.http://www.f-secure.com/en/web/labs_...online-scanner
    always asks for Java Runtime Environment
    3. https://www.netbank.nordea.dk/netban...et/LogonCommon
    alway need sam plugin

    Can such tings be fixst with out of the box ubuntu releses?

    1. It seems that site does not support Linux.
    2. That is a WINDOWS ONLY site.
    3. That site downloads and runs Java plugins fine on my system - I get login prompts.

    I think you didn't install the required plugins. For your bank, you should have a java runtime environment, jre, installed on your computer. You can find OpenJDK Java 7 runtime in software sources. This will fix your problem with the bank. I have this installed and can see the login window.
    As for the radio, it didn't work on my chrome. But it works fine on Firefox. I guess, it is related to plugins again.
    I advise you to install Ubuntu Restricted extras package. It also includes the OpenJDK Java. You can find it on Ubuntu Software center.
    As for the virus program, it clearly states that you should have any kind of windows operating system. You can always use ClamAV under linux to check for your windows drives. That is what we do in our University.

    Thanks guys for replaing that post.I was thinking more like out of the box ubuntu instalation. Just to make les confusing for new users to have those futures alerady intergated in fresh intaled ubuntu.Les tweeking you do after instalation more popularity Ubuntu will gain.Just for fun tray fresh instalation and you will se at needs do same ekstra things to make whose tings to work.For god sake Im not making comparing to windows OS trash.In windows wil take an hours of tweeking.Goal for ubuntu should be beter than windos.
