I just upgraded from 10.04LTS to 12.04LTS and need to get my dial-up modem working. It's a Dell Conexant modem. I had it working on 10.04 by using the steps listed here

When I try this on 12.04 the alsa-driver-linuxant_1.0.23.1_all.deb will not install, and hsfconfig will not find the modem.

Any help would be appreciated.
