sound and video not working in 12.04

Hello ,

I have recently installed ubuntu 12.04.my mp3 and dvd playback was running smoothly. after updating restricted drivers for wifi and ATI graphics my mp3 playback not working and most of time video plays in fast forward mode. but welcome sound is there at the start up.i dont know what going wrong. please help me to get my sound playback back.

Same problem here. After the upgrade to 12.04 I lost all audio.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Have the same problem, also after installing and removing ATI graphics staff.
UPD Found this bug, the proposed solution (option radeon.audio=1) worked for me.
