    Lenovo E530

I'd like to buy a new laptop and after some searching on the web, have come up with the Lenovo E530 :

(It's in Dutch but scroll down for the specs.

I would like to run multiple operating systems on it : windows 7 (it comes with win8 but don't want that), ubuntu and Linux mint.
I know Lenovo is know for its great Linux compatibility so that shouldn't be an issue.
However, as this notebook has both built-in graphics AND a discrete graphics card, will linux be able to cope with this, especially when playing games (it's not the main reason why I'm buying this laptop, but it'd be nice to play some games).

All new systems with Windows 8 are UEFI secure boot with gpt partitioning.

But you can turn secure boot off. Ubuntu is one of the few to work with secure boot systems.
Under Windows 8 Secure Boot, all PCs, no matter what operating system they actually run, must include several Microsoft-owned keys.

I thought I saw somewhere that Microsoft was requiring Vendors to not offer new drivers for Windows 7 so it can be difficult to downgrade from 8 to 7.

But some have hard coded issues in UEFI.
