    Headphone Jack not detected

    Hi All,

I've raised a bug at launchpad.
    https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...er/+bug/993162

I use the Zotac Z68ITX-A-E Motherboard which uses the ALC892 HD Audio (its either snd_intel_hda or snd_hda_intel).

Board has no problems with the headphone jack in Windows 7. Ubuntu 11.10 and 12.04 (x64 Headphone jack isn't available in the list of "Output" in Sound Settings.
In Ubuntu 11.10 and 12.04, sound from the rear panel works great. Front panel headphones are just not detected.

I bought an alternative board H67M-ITX/HT which uses the same Audio Chipset, and Ubuntu has no problem recognizing the Headphone Jack on that board. I should note that boards use the same chipset for Audio but (ALC892) however, they use a completely different intel chipset (Z68 vs the H67).

    Please help.
